Date Posted: Friday, August 28th, 2026The Annual Town of Viola Day Sunday, September 13, 2026 1:00pm-3:00pm VCF Ruritan, Ruritan Lane, Viola, DE 19979 Please come and enjoy food provided by the Felton Fire Company Food and Ice Cream Truck, music by T & J Music, door prizes, games and crafts for kids. We will also have vendors selling wood crafts, custom cups, and pens. We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Food Bank of Delaware. Notice Regarding Yard Waste Dumpster 8/26/2026
Date Posted: Friday, August 28th, 2026Dear Residents, Recently, you may have noticed that the yard waste dumpster located on town property on East Howard St. has been removed. Due to abuse and improper use of this dumpster, measures were taken to remove the dumpster temporarily. This yard waste dumpster is intended to provide the tax-paying residents within the corporate limits of Viola a dedicated avenue to remove true yard waste. There have been recent instances of our dumpster being used to put fully grown trees that are two feet in diameter and in excess of 10 feet. We also have seen large bushes/limbs that stick out of the top of the dumpster. The waste company requires that the contents not exceed the top of the dumpster, which requires attention from the town council to climb into the dumpster to trim the limbs off.
